Farewell 2024. Hello 2025. My annual re-cap of where we went and where we’re going.
The last 12 months were quite the traveler’s dream. Seven new countries; the 7th (and last one to visit) continent; celebrating my milestone birthday that book-ended the year with two trips — Napa & Antarctica. If you missed any of the posts, they are linked below:
- Napa
- Prague
- Vienna
- Slovenia & Slovakia
- Serbia
- Moldava
- Romania
- Bulgaria
- No. Macedonia
- Tuscany Week of Cooking!
- Antarctica
As promised in the previous post, a few more photos showing the unique beauty of Antarctica
And now on to 2025. The spring trip is an ambitious one, covering a lot of area (with a lot of flights!). We head back to South America and then to the Caribbean. Another 8 new countries in all:
- Brazil (Sao Paulo/Iguazu Falls/Rio de Janeiro)
- Paraguay
- Uruguay
- Argentina (second time in Buenos Aires)
- Aruba
- Curacao
- Tobago
- Grenada
- Barbados
As for the traditional Thanksgiving trip, our goal is a family trip to Israel. And we certainly pray for calm in the region – for everyone concerned. We shall wait and see.
Thank you for continuing to read this blog and follow along. It is a privilege and a joy to see this world. From me and my family to you and yours, sending wishes for all good things in 2025.

I love the penguin shots! Are you a travel guide? Or are you a modern-day pioneer? Best wishes for a possible Israel trip! I would love to follow your adventures there.
Thank you! Technically neither. Just an avid traveler, blessed with the good fortune to see the world with a partner who wants to do the same. Happy New Year, my friend.
What a year 2024 was and 2025 looks terrific. Loved So America and iguazu falls was spectacular. Try to see it from Brazil side and Argentinian side.
Your photo at the end is terrific. Looking good Bialosky’s. Send my love
